Cessna took control of the Light Jet market with the Cessna Citation Jet (CJ) and Cessna Citation Mustang VLJ. The Cessna Citation Jet is a single-pilot rated aircraft, although we prefer flights to be operated with two pilots for additional safety. The CitationJet is configured with 4 passenger seats, and the CJ1/CJ1+ may include a 5th captain’s chair.

The Citation CJ1 an improved variant of the CitationJet, with modernized EFIS avionics and a small increase to the aircraft’s maximum takeoff weight.

The CitationJet (Model 525) was the foundation for Cessna’s CJ series, which has included several models and variants up to the current Citation CJ4+. Model 525 serial numbers ranging from 1 through 359 are known as CitationJets, while numbers 360 through 599 are known as the CitationJet CJ1.
