6 Famous Celebs Who Visited Char Dham: Must Check

Char Dham Yatra is a pilgrimage undertaken every year by Hindus across India. Held annually starting from April, the yatra remains open till the first week of November. Encompassing Yamunotri, Gangotri, Badrinath, and Kedarnath, Char Dham Circuit is famous among the devotees of Hinduism. It is believed that visiting Char Dham attains the highest level of spiritual enlightenment and takes you to the path of Moksha.

Famous personalities and celebs are touched by this fact and pay their visit to these holy places. Some of them have been listed below:

1) Narendra Modi 

The holy temple of lord shiva in Kedarnath district of Uttarakhand state in India has been visited by Prime Minister Narendra Modi twice to open up the Rudra cave located about 1km uphill from the temple. 

After the prime minister's second visit, the popularity of Kedarnath and the number of people looking to stay in the cave skyrocketed. There are many hotels near the caves which offer accommodation.

2) Amitabh Bachchan with his family and Amar Singh

The Bachchan family, including Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, along with Amar Singh to char Dham yatra circuit in Garhwal hills. After the grand wedding of Abhishek and Aishwarya, this trip was planned to seek the blessings of the almighty for the newlywed couple. The temples were beautifully lit and adorned to welcome the Bachchan family.

3) Sushant Singh Rajput

Do you remember the movie Kedarnath? Yes! The entire movie was shot in Kedarnath. Sushant Singh deeply researched the Kedarnath temple and its nearby complexes to get into his character. Only a few know that Sushant Singh was a big devotee of Lord Shiva. Often on his social media, he shared various posts admiring the almighty. He even visited the top of mountain rock which is known to stop the flood water from reaching the temple to destroy it.

4) Janhvi Kapoor

Accompanied by Sara Ali Khan, Jhanvi Kapoor visited the Char Dham Yatra in November 2021. The Duo posted their picture on social media and received a lot of applause from their fans. Dhadak was the debut movie of Janhvi in Bollywood with Ishan Khatter. The two were seen doing puja and posing on the temple stairs with wrapped jackets and shawls in the Kedarnath temple. Also, they posed in front of the spectacular Himalayas.

5) Sara Ali Khan

Sara Ali Khan also appeared with Sushant Singh in Kedarnath, pictured in Kedarnath. She spent a lot of time in the lap of Garhwal hills during the movie shoot. Although the Rudra cave was not opened to the public by that time, due ensured to visit and spend a lot of time imbibing into spirituality. She also shared several pictures of her and the crew of the Kedarnath movie on her social handles. 

6) Samantha Akkineni

Who doesn't know this South Indian beauty who took the limelight with Family Man 2 action-packed scenes as Raji? She visited in October 2021 and shared her excellent experience visiting Char Dham on her social media handles. 'It was a breathtaking and mesmerizing experience. The Himalayas have a special place in my heart.' She went on Chardham Yatra after announcing her separation from her Husband, Naga Chaitanya.
